Teams can now register for the 2010 International Tournament of Champions, which will be held on May 21-23 in Salem, Oregon, USA. Taking place on the beautiful campus of Willamette University, high school debate teams from around the world will gather for the annual ITOC for a weekend of learning, competitive debate, and friendship building activities.
The tournament takes on the Worlds-School Debate format, which promotes international understanding through free speech. The first day of the tournament will feature a debate workshop hosted by IDEA and the Willamette University Debate Union.
Applications will be accepted through April 22, 2010, or until all spots have been filled. Debate teams who apply will be selected for the ITOC based on the debate team's overall experience and competitive success during the current school year. To register for the 2010 ITOC, visit idebate.org.
