More CTAC Activities

The Critical Thinking Across Cultures participants from Uganda have had a busy last week! Between journalism, debate, and argument classes, visiting the State Capitol and Supreme Court, and of course, their many social engagements, these students and teachers are having quite a visit! Here are some photos of them dancing in my backyard at a bbq this weekend--and a couple of more formal photos of the students visiting with local newspaper editors as part of a journalism panel. This week: more classes, debates, barbecues, and an open house.

IDEA Welcomes Ugandan Teachers and Students

This past weekend, I had an amazing time showing twelve Ugandan guests around the beautiful Oregon Coast. With the help of Critical Thinking Across Cultures teacher, Lisa Iverson and her family, we visited an aquarium, went crabbing and swimming, and saw a lot of Pacific Ocean sea life! Rob, Robert, Allie, and Dani (who participated in the exchange to Uganda) were also able to come and show a little Oregon hospitality!

This upcoming week, the CTAC students and teachers who are visiting from Uganda will be learning debate and citizen journalism, traveling to the Oregon State Capitol and Court of Appeals, and watching a few soccer games along the way. We're so excited to have them here!
