International Public Policy Forum announces "Elite 8" teams

On February 10th, the top eight debate teams to advance from the "Sweet Sixteen" round of the International Public Policy Forum tournament were announced. Congratulations to the following "Elite Eight" teams of the 2009-2010 IPPF tournament:

Atlantic Community High School, Boca Raton, FL
Cherry Creek High School, Greenwood Village, CO
Notre Dame High School, Sherman Oaks, CA
Henry Clay High School, Lexington, KY
McNeil High School, Austin, TX
Samuel Marsden Collegiate College, Wellington, New Zealand
Singapore Ministry of Education, Singapore
Suncoast Community High School, Riviera Beach, FL

These schools have qualified for an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City to compete in the final rounds on the campus of New York University. During the finals on April 16th-18th, teams will compete for a $10,000 grand prize through written and oral debates in front of a panel of some of the world's leaders in debate, business, law and politics.
